Zombie Panic: source microphone issue?

I play Zombie panic source on Steam on the PC and for some reason my microphone wont work in the game. It works for all other source powered games such as gmod and CSS but in ZPS it just won't transmit anything, someone who knows anything about what i'm talking about please help. I tried deleting ZPS content and re installing it but that did nothing
