I'm 24/female and there is an executive (60 year old male; tall, big and imposing) in the company I work for who is always approaching me and generally transmitting a creepy vibe. Well at first glance, you would think the Colts would go for it and it really doesn't sound like a bad idea. I guess in the sense that, the Colts should look to secure their future. But (and there is a but) I think that it isn't in their best interest right now. Yes it does seem like a great idea in the long term aspect, but lets face the fact and that is, Peyton Manning will be the starter until he retires. At best (Manning is 35) he most likely has 5 more years left in him before he considers retirement. I say that to say, it doesn't quite make sense from a year to year standpoint to draft a QB that will sit on the bench longer than 2 seasons. Aaron Rodgers is an exception because it wasn't as if he was drafted to be the future so to speak. Things kind of happened to turn in his favor because Favre didn't retire in GB. But that said, I think it is too early to draft because realistically, any QB the Colts get now, would sit on the bench for 4-5 years, since most don't expect Manning to play poorly the rest of his career. We know that the Yankees want Hughes as a starter, but if I were the manager I would put him in the bullpen. Hughes may win games, but stuff wise I think he projects as a career middle of the rotation pitcher. I mean Hughes has proved to be better as a reliever and has blown away hitters with 95 mph fastballs. Whereas Hughes as a starter cannot put hitters away and lives mostly in the 91-93 range. Why is Steam downloading 2.3MB when I log in?

when I log in to Steam, it just sits on the "Connecting" window. I have Comodo Firewall installed so I am able to view active connections and the amount of data they transmit/receive. and -every- single time I connect to Steam, it downloads 2.3MB. I have a friend who uses Steam and says even on a fast connection (+500kb/s) it would still take some time for that. at home, I have 26.4kbps. so often enough I can just watch Steam take as long as it does to connect. and sometimes it does not even get the amount required to connect and it errors. I'm guessing it's a time-out issue... and his connection never has this problem (obviously faster than mine). so ... I am curious why I seem to be the only one with this issue.

If nintendo had skipped the gamecube and went straight to the wii what would have happened?

Considering that the gamecube was nintendos biggest console failure while the wii is pretty much its biggest success and the only real difference is a controller it would have made a lot of sense. So the guy i like just came to our school at the very beginning of the year. When I first saw him, I thought he was really cute and I liked him. But I thought that i should just kinda forget about it because he was REALLY quiet and seemed stuck up.(Sounds cheesy, I know) So at lunch my friends and I would try to sit near his table just to be near him...even though i still didn't know him. At the beginning of the 2nd semester, he moved into my social studies class and sat right in front of me. I was so happy...but he still never talked at all. Not even for the teacher. And he's such a sweet person and everything seemed to work out perfectly. I didn't even know him and my friend were great friends. Anyway, I still like him. And I'm just acting as a sister to him and he's like a brother to me. But I like him more than as a brother/good friend. I don't want to ruin the friendship, but I don't want to miss out on a chance. Sometimes he acts like he likes me, and sometimes he acts like a brother. My friend said that he started assuming that I like him...but i didn't want to confirm it or deny it. So now he invited me and my friend to the movies with him. And we're all going (as friends) but I still like him. AWOL from basic training?

Im a 23 year old female. I joined the army and during week 4 of training while i was in the gas chamber i was struck in the chest multiple times by the drill sgts. For the following next few days i went to sick call and complained of chest pains pressure the whole shebang. Anyhowm everytime i went they gave me medicine for allergies because apparently fort jackson is known for pollen. So one night i could no longer bare it i was on the floor screaming in pain and buzzing the drill sgts with no answer. I set off the alarms and ran downstairs banging on the ds door and he came out cursing and yelling. He eventually brought me to the hospital and i sat in a chair for 11 hrs before a doctor even saw me. he again prescribed ibuprofen and clairitin and i begged for bloodwork. he agreed, withing 45 minutes i was in an ambulance off post where i stayed for 5 days. I had damage consistent with a heartattack and a cardiac contusion (bruise on my heart) myocarditis. I also had Supraventricular tachycardias while i was in the hospital. So when i was discharged the army sent me home on 30 days con leave. When i got back my company was about to graduating i was forced to do everything with them although i wasnt feeling up to it and i was not training. i had to do shitty details but nothing compared to when we got switched over to the holdover company. We were in the scorching heat painting sweeping the concrete policing the hills it was ridiculous from sun up to sun down we were working. One day i had BAD chest pain so i went to sick call. Although i was on a dead mans profile and although i was awaiting a discharge and i told her of my pains and previous history she took me off profile and sent me on my way with an icepack and ibuprofen. when i got back to the company i snapped, i put on my civilians and took off running. Ive now been home for almost 45 days. Im scared to go back because i dont want jailtime, what should i do?

Computer HDMI cable isn't connecting to my TV?

I've had my laptop computer (running Vista) connected to my HDTV using an HDMI cable for some time now to watch movies and such on my TV. It's worked great for the last month until all of a sudden yesterday I go to use it and the computer isn't transmitting the video and audio signal to the TV anymore. It still makes the *ding* noise when I connect and disconnect the cable, but the tv just says "retrieving data" and instead of bringing up my desktop on the TV it just has a blue screen that says "No signal". I can set up the TV to function as a second monitor ( as an extension of my desktop, so the HDMI cable and TV are working right), but I can no longer get my TV to display exactly what's on my laptop screen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my video driver on my laptop but that hasn't done anything either. How can I fix this?

Your yearling sounds exactly like mine did. He is a rescue and had very bad manners. It was to the point that we could not even go into the pasture. One time he reared up and came down on my husbands shoulders and nearly killed him. In January one of my horses coliced. When the vet came out to see him, Rocket was up to his old trick. He was really showing out. So when he took my colicky horse to his hospital, I sent Rocket along too thinking that gelding him would do the trick. WRONG! So I went to my local coop and ask this lady that worked there if she knew of someone who could take him and teach him some manners that wouldn't break me. That afternoon a young man called and told me that not only was he a trainer, but also a farrier. Rocket's feet looked horrible and he refused to stand for the farrier. So I let this young man take him to his farm for three weeks. He worked with him every day and when he brought him home, I thought it was someone else's horse. He is now very calm, stands for the farrier, no longer bites or kicks. I have had a life-long affiliation with horses, but to this day I don't know how to get them to behave, at least with situations such as this one. I strongly suggest you find someoone who has experience with yearlings and send him for some lessons in good manners. Believe me, you will never be sorry for doing this, you will be very thankful. I need help with my dad making me do martial arts?

i've been doing korean martial arts for six years and i just received my black belt (cho dan) with months of hard work. he's basically been forcing me to go for the past years, he even did martial arts after me, hes now been doing it for four years. we've discussed this before but he just hates the idea that i don't want to do it anymore or even that i just want to do it less. it makes me so angry and sad that this art takes up most of my during school days to do other things like maybe do homework at decent time. as a matter of fact i want to learn other martial arts even. at my studio we do lot and lot of forms and robotic defensive techniques and knife defenses where they attempt to strike you with one technique and stop for you so you can do whatever you want to them. i've sparred with my friends who have minimal training and lose. dad tells me that when i become a dan i start to realize the applications of forms but does it seriously take 6 years of training to learn how to defend yourselves. i know you have to imagine opponents but it comes nothing close to the real thing. i want to become the worlds best martial artist but i think i need far more diversity of skills. we live far from our dojang so as soon as we get home from school i have to get ready and leave. my dads just an angry guy, idk i guess i have no choice but to be a shrimp and just give up my dreams and have no skills in combat but i would really appreciate it if my problem can be solved some how.

Recently me and my friends got into a heated argument over Russia not being a bad country. I was adopted from Russia and i insist it's not a bad country. They are saying its so bad and third world. It's great that you're supervising their play and you should probably continue to keep an eye on them until the kitten gets a little stronger, just to be safe. I doubt your older cat's behavior is aggressive. You would be able to tell if he was actually upset and trying to injure the kitten. More likely they are just play fighting and having fun. I haven't had two cats concurrently but it sounds a lot like playtime between my cat and dog. They're best friends but look like they're trying to kill each other when they play. It may look rough but if your cat was hurting the kitten the kitten would squeal and clearly express that it was in pain, letting your cat know to stop whatever he's doing. If the kitten was being hurt he also wouldn't come back to be further attacked. If your cats sleep together they obviously enjoy each others company, which is great. I think they are worried about a rookie head coach trying to manage a group of underachievers. They are all good players, but that team is full of guys with no heart and no desire. After Kobe and Fisher, there is nobody on that team that is self motivated or driven. You saw how they laid down and died in the Mavs series. It's like a fighter getting hit and deciding he doesn't want to fight anymore. Brian Shaw has been groomed and will make a great coach one day, but after the playoff failure the Lakers might feel the need to do something big. Aside from a trade, they can't really go and get any big name players so they may have to try and get a bigger name coach. I actually think a new coach like Shaw would be a good thing because he will be hungry and it might translate to the team. All that being said...
