I enjoy chewing on aluminium foil :/?

While I have heard it may be painful, I quite enjoy biting down on it. It is an odd sensation and I get an odd taste of eggs after, and on occasion have a "white out" for a fraction of a second (due to the current of electricity). I don't quite know how it can be transmitted as a sensation. I understand that there is an electrical current and that some people get shocked during but I have never heard of another person who likes the taste before. What causes this taste?
